Vaser Liposuction Top FAQs

Vaser Liposuction Top FAQs

If you’re considering Vaser Liposuction, there are several questions you should be asking in your consultation that relate to your own individual needs and body type. Here is a list of general FAQs about liposuction procedures.

1.What is Vaser Liposuction?

Vaser Liposuction is a cosmetic surgical procedure that aims to remove excess fat cells to help contour the body. It is designed to improve the patient’s proportions and highlight their natural assets.

2.Am I a good candidate for Vaser Liposuction?

If you have been responding to a healthy diet and regular exercise and still have excess fat, you may be a suitable candidate for Vaser Liposuction. It is still strongly recommended to come in for a consultation with your cosmetic surgeon to ensure your expectations are met.

3.When will I see the results of the cosmetic surgery?

The fat reduction results of Vaser Liposuction become noticeable in 6 weeks after the procedure. Yet, it varies from patient to patient depending on how their body responds to the swelling and bruising and the extent of the fat to be removed.

4.What is the cost of the liposuction procedure?

The Vaser Liposuction procedure can start at $4,400.00 onwards. Other factors that can affect the cost of the procedure includes the following:

  • The number of areas to be treated
  • The extent of the fat reduction
  • The desired results
  • The chosen anesthetic

5.How long is the recovery time?

You can go home on the same day as your surgery. A 2 – 7day recovery time is required to allow the swelling and bruising to subside and give time for the small incision sites to heal. A compression garment for 5-6 weeks is required to help with the healing process, skin retraction, and to minimize swelling.

6.How much scarring can I expect after liposculpture?

Thanks to the advanced ultrasound technology, the incisions created during the Vaser Liposuction procedure are very small. As with any injury to the skin, there will be a slight scar that is likely to diminish with time. The cosmetic surgeons will also strategically place these where they’ll be as inconspicuous as possible, such as below the bikini line, so the visibility of these scars is reduced.

7.What happens if I gain weight after liposuction?

The fat cells removed and the body contouring results are permanent. However, if you do gain weight, the contouring and proportions achieved will remain the same, only larger in appearance. That’s why it’s important to continue to adopt a healthy diet and exercise regime after any cosmetic surgeries.

8.What are the risks involved with Vaser Liposuction?

The risks involved are minimal with Vaser Liposuction and are performed under twilight sedation. The possible complications include infections, allergic reactions, hematoma, sensation changes, and the need for revisions. Make sure you are aware of the risks involved if you undergo any cosmetic surgery to know if Vaser Liposuction is the right choice for you.
